Discover The What Pt 1
Module 1: Discover Your Why
Without strategy, content is just stuff, and the world has enough stuff.

Think Media suggests that viewers watch content to find solutions. By understanding the problems your viewers face, you can tailor your content to meet their needs better.
Here are the 5 main problems that people who watch content are looking to solve:
- to relieve boredom
- to learn something
- stressed about something
- to be distracted
- to chill out
Looking at that list, I’m sure you can immediately spot 2 or 3 that relate to you and what your current audience is seeking.
Q1: What problem do you solve?
Let’s take a closer look at these problems:
Boredom: there are many causes of boredom, including lack of stimulation or overstimulation, lack of interest or insufficient challenges. It could be from social isolation, unmet expectations or lack of goals.
Education: There’s a goal involved - learning how to cook a certain recipe, learning a new math problem, speak a new language or even how to get through that frustratingly difficult chapter of Wanted: Dead.
Stressed: Like boredom, there are a wide range of things that could be causing stress. Environmental, personal, social, psychological and just everyday hassles.
Distraction: This one may be caused by boredom or stress, or it could be excitement or anticipation while waiting for big news or waiting in line for your turn to check out.
Chill Out: It was a long day, people just want to vegetate with some relaxing content or end their day with some laughter and time spent with people they can connect with.
Knowing the reasons why people visit places like Twitch, YouTube and other social platforms gives you a unique perspective!
